Elsabeth Gebreyesus came to the United States in March of 1998 with her two sons, Yoel (age 14) and Benhur (age 11). Her mother followed in 2004. They are from Asmara, the capital city in Eritrea located in East Africa.

After buying her Habitat home, Elsabeth hopes to take classes to become a dietician. First, however, she and her family will enjoy being homeowners.
